Sparks At Work business card
I did all the Sparks At Work and Toot Your Town biz cards. Susan’s card is different than the Toot Your Town cards because it incorporates Sparks At Work as well. I had to get in two logos that don’t match in any way. I decided to tie in the present idea from her website and came up with this.

This is a promo I did showing the success of Toot Your Town with Fuddle Learns To Cuddle, a book I illustrated for KIDS CuddleKit Closet. All the stoires come from actual news stories from the Yuma Sun.

This article was written by my brother Logan. When I found out he was writing about super heroes, I hit istockphotos and picked up the sweet vector on the left page. I have to give some credit to the istockphoto vector, though I did do everything on the right side.
Useless Trivia-TC Magazine Issue 8, Spring 2008
Most of the time, the quizzes in TC are typical teen stuff. “Who is your celebrity crush?” or “How are your survival skills?” Since I got free reign over the guys side of the magazine, I decided to make the quiz questions less girly. So, I wrote a bunch of questions, snagged some Arnold quotes, and came up with this.

This is a pretty basic layout, but it was tough fitting all that copy in. There was a ton of stuff I had to cut, which is a real shame. I think the final spread fits with Dekker’s style though.
Jennette McCurdy Interview-TC magazine Issue 7, Winter 2007
This is a last minute design that turned out really nice. Using bits and pieces of a holiday vector image and a few custom shapes, I came up with a spread that fit the theme and colors of the issue. I also did the interview, which you can read here, or on the writing page.
